Description

These mighty whaleys help save the sea!

Handmade with love for love of the ocean, each mighty whaley is pluffed - plastic-stuffed - with 200 to 300 grams of plastic taken out of beaches and the sea. These plastics are recovered by the community, hand washed, air & sun dried in their island homes, then hand-cut.

They are then sent to a group of Nanays who sew them into shape, using 50-100 grams of second-hand or surplus fabrics. That's why Every whale is unique. No waste, no landfill use, no plastic pollution & no shortcuts!  

Not only are you helping us divert plastics that could have damaged coral, fish, turtles, and other marine life, Every time you adopt a whale, you help fund the cleanup of another 1 kilogram of marine or marine-bound plastic pollution too.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

- Every whale is unique as we produce depending on available fabrics. The other Nanays are also free to be creative in their whale-making :) 

- Each whale is 10-14 inches long (depending on at which point their tail flips up!) and 10-14 inches high 

- Each whale is filled with 200-300 grams of recovered marine & marine-bound plastic which have been washed, dried & UV-sanitized. 

- Assume that there is a mix of different types of fabrics with each whale
