Description
This piece is the skort variation of our Lucia skirt, which is a modern ‘tapis’ and ‘saya’ with a mix of different deadstock and handwoven fabrics representing the contrasting fabrics seen in the traditional Filipiniana attire. Our modern version reimagines this heritage piece suited for the contemporary Filipina.
Made in Cebu, Philippines by independent makers:
Garment sewn by Eliseo Lapeceros in Cebu city, Cebu
Handwoven fabric woven by Marecil Luna and Lilia Narca in Argao, Cebu
* MATERIALS
The skirt is made of deadstock fabrics combined with handwoven fabric made of upcycled discarded 100% Polyester sewing thread sourced from garment factories in Cebu.
