For the month of August, we have focused our efforts on highlighting our collection of local weaves—handcrafted products that celebrate the rich traditions of Filipino artisans. To deepen our impact, we have partnered with Communities Organized for Resource Allocation (CORA), a non-profit organization dedicated to creating sustainable programs addressing hunger, poverty, inequality, and climate change. CORA mainly focuses on volunteerism, community-building, and inclusivity, aligning perfectly with our commitment in supporting local artisans and contributing to a more equitable world.
Through this partnership, every purchase at Frankie General Store becomes more meaningful. As the love and support for local craftsmanship grows, this goes hand in hand with helping fund programs that uplift vulnerable communities across the Philippines. For this August, we aim to be of help and partner with their CORA Cares program, which focuses on humanitarian projects, addressing the needs of the most vulnerable. Given that Typhoon Carina hit last month and has affected a lot of areas in the Philippines, we know and understand that the effects of the storm are still felt to this day. Through the CORA Cares program, Frankie General Store aims to forward the initiative in offering any help we can to the affected communities.
We in Frankie General Store are continuously supporting the brand partners we have and the communities they support in the best way we can. The proceeds from all Frankie General Store’s sales, both in-store and online, from August 15 to August 31, will be donated to CORA Philippines’ CORA Cares Program, to support their Climate Action Fund. By shopping our local weaves and handcrafted items by our local artisans from brands that are part of our ‘The Heritage Collection’, our community does not only add local unique pieces to their wardrobe, but they are also able to contribute to a movement that empowers communities and drives sustainable change. Join us as we continue to support local, uplift our communities, and make a positive impact!
