Description

Sorbetes is a type of traditional ice cream made distinct in Philippine culture by the use of coconut or carabao's milk.  It was invented in the early 1900s around the time the first ice plants were built in the country.  These delicious, icy desserts were sold in the streets by vendors called sorbeteros.  Inside homes, the distinct ringing of the bell signaled the arrival of their favorite ice cream vendor.  And right outside, his colorful card gathered neighbors - both the young and young - at - heart -- all looking indulge in the three sorbetes flavors of the day
