Inabel Handloom Weavers

Inabel Handloom Weavers

Inabel weavers preserve a form of weaving tradition native to the Ilocano people of Northern Luzon in the Philippines. "Abel" in Ilocano translates to "weave", whereas "inabel" translates to "woven". The Inabel fabric is a handwoven textile on traditional wooden looms using pre-colonial weaving techniques passed down through generations, along with the stories that emerge from the fabric's patterns.

Preserve their stories and keep their traditions alive by supporting the livelihood and craftsmanship of Inabel Weavers with this selection of small-batch, meaningful pieces.
